...Lost in a February song
I can't believe it's already February! I'm off to Nicaragua in about 19 days. Finances have fallen together nicely. Work has issues like usual, sometimes i hope to find a job with less drama and more nurse stuff.
I ordered my gear for the trip last night...a couple hundred dollars of socks, Cliff bars, Duct tape, rope and assorted gear. It's amazing the little things one needs on an adventure such as this.
There are a million mundane details to prepare.

One Month Away
Gandolph "I am looking for someone to share in an adventure that I am arranging, and it's very difficult to find anyone."
Bilbo Baggins "I should think so — in these parts! We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!"
Some bad news today, our team Leader Dr. Cooley had to drop out of the trip today. A replacement team leader has been chosen. A Dr Kearns...I haven't met him but I'm sure he'll be fine.
Supplies have been difficult to come by. Many supplies we were hoping for have been sent to Haiti. Without finding more supplies like, bandages, medicine, vaccines, ect we will have to buy them ourselves. Buying them ourselves mean more money
Speaking of Haiti, the events in Haiti have hit home. Many of the Americans that died there were missionaries working with the poor, not unlike my team and I. This adventure has many dangers both natural and man made.
