"The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began,
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many path and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say"
All adventures have a beginning, all quests have a start, all voyages have an origin. This is a tale of my adventure to Africa. I have no idea where it will take me, who I will meet, what I will see or do. All I know is I have been called and must go.
It began as a whisper, a dream faint and gossamer. As I studied for my exams and tests in nursing school I could feel it's vibration. A reassuring voice, "dreadnought for I have called you, and will send you out." It is almost a year since I graduated, and like the wind the call has grown stronger.
What is this mysterious dream I speak of? I've been called to serve as a nurse in the poorest of lands. I feel the tug of Africa, someday I will no doubt travel to many lands. I do not know when I will leave, where i will go or what I will do...only that my soul has been stirred up and will not quiet untill this adventure has concluded.
